Our Values

Values that truly represent the Aigburth Community Cycling Club and define our actions both on and off the bike.

We are a community.

We create an atmosphere of belonging within the club, recognising that everyone has their part to play, both through personal enjoyment and supporting others.

We are inclusive.

Individuals and groups of all backgrounds and abilities are welcome in our club. We do not tolerate prejudice or any acts of discrimination, ensuring everyone feels valued and respected in our club.

We create opportunity.

We provide opportunities for members to develop their skills and confidence through joining group rides, attending cycle maintenance training, or taking part in cycle skills training.

We offer volunteering opportunities eg. to train as a ride leader, help with admin support, or tell others about our rides at local street markets.

We seek to develop.

We look for ways to grow and expand our cycling activities to reach as many community groups and individuals as possible and to maximise our impact on improving health, wellbeing and the environment.

We are considerate to others.

We uphold the laws of the road on our cycle rides and embrace the meaning and spirit of the Highway Code, always showing respect and consideration to all other users of roads and shared paths.

Six Aigburth Community Cycle Club members stand outside a café called Lake View Kiosk in a park. Three of them hold a hot drink in a disposable cup. Two of them are holding bikes. Its the Christmas festival season, because there is a big, decorated Christmas Tree right next to them, in a huge decorated white planter. Everyone is smiling and looking to camera.
